Greater MN

Published on 3/5/2020

March is really starting out strong at MAVA with so many things going on in Greater MN. Our first Volunteer Impact Leadership Training (VILT) is March 3-4, 2020 in Annandale MN at Camp Friendship. Thank you to True Friends in Annandale for hosting the first Series of the year.

With this in mind we have several other VILT trainings set for the year in Greater MN. Thank you to the YMCA of Cass and Clay for sponsoring the training in April in Fargo, ND and RAVA for hosting in Rochester in June. We have a training scheduled in Mankato for late summer/early fall and already looking at trainings in 2021.

If you would be interested in hosting a VILT Series in Greater MN please let me know. Host organizations will receive a stipend for hosting these two day events.

MAVA is also starting to set up District Council meetings for 2020. We have several set up for March and looking for early spring to get the first round of meetings in. If you would like to host one of our upcoming District Council meetings please let me know. These informational and information sharing meetings happen three times a year around MN.

If you are interested in helping with the Rural Volunteerism panel this June at the MAVA conference please let me know. I am looking for 4 – 5 Volunteer Engagement Leaders to help with this panel. Send an email to jvreeland@mavanetwork.org if you would like more information.

Also, we are updating the VILT Series and looking for new trainers. If you would like to hear more about this great opportunity to teach this Series around the state let me know. The training is set for the MAVA conference in June.
