Niila Hebert

Executive Director


Niila (CVA, CPPM) is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement (MAVA) and a recognized national thought leader in volunteerism equity. A dedicated servant leader, Niila catalyzes transformative change by architecting partnerships that bridge community needs with innovative engagement. As a DEI trainer and inclusion champion, she centers equity, access, and justice in her advocacy for Black and LGBTQ+ communities. Niila holds a degree in Communications with a minor in Black Studies from California State University Long Beach. A highly skilled facilitator, she excels at creating collective, experiential learning spaces that empower volunteer engagement professionals to move at the speed of their communities.
