AmeriCorps VISTA Program

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

The mission of the AmeriCorps VISTA program is to create community-driven solutions to ending poverty.

AmeriCorps VISTA provides opportunities for Americans 18 years or older from a diverse range of backgrounds to dedicate a year of full-time service with an organization (“sponsor”) to create or expand programs designed to empower individuals and communities in overcoming poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve with nonprofits, schools, or government agencies to expand the organization's capacity to serve more low-income communities, in better ways, for longer periods of time.

The power of AmeriCorps VISTA is extraordinary, and brings talented, passionate people on board to create or enhance your anti-poverty program by expanding the capacity of your organization.

The MAVA VISTA Program is recruiting VISTA members at several locations! Check out our open positions here.

Become a Host Site

AmeriCorps VISTA members come equipped with the talent and drive to be a game-changer for your organization. They are full-time volunteers and will cost your organization less than a part-time employee. Many of MAVA's past VISTA members have become employees of their host sites and most continue to be involved as volunteers long after their service.
