MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION FOR VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION
ANNUAL MEETING

Forecasting the Future: How Minnesota’s changing demographics will impact our work

FEATURING MINNESOTA STATE DEMOGRAPHER SUSAN BROWER,
MINNESOTA COMPASS RESEARCH SCIENTIST JUSTIN HOLLIS AND MAVA STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS

MAVA’s annual meeting is one of the highlights of the year! Come enjoy great food and company, cheer on award winners, and get updated on MAVA news. You will hear directly from Minnesota’s state demographer about what is changing in the Minnesota volunteer and paid workforce, and what changes lie ahead. MAVA staff and volunteers will share results of recent trends research, highlight ways to understand volunteerism through a diversity and equity lens and help you harness these changes so that volunteers meet your organizational mission more effectively. We will challenge you to be proactive as we explore why changes in our state’s demographics means we must do our work differently. You will also hear from Minnesota Compass staff about how to assess local and regional changes, and leave with tools to understand and capitalize on changes in Minnesota demographics.
