For 118 years, the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities meets basic needs and provides wholistic care to individuals experiencing homeless and going through addiction. Over 4,200 individual volunteers serve annually at UGM to help meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable in our community. Volunteers help serve meals every day, 365 days a year. They help provide tutoring in our Education & Job Readiness program for adults and youth, help support our in with our Child Development Center, sort donated items in our Central Services warehouse, lead chapel services and help serve the community through our seasonal outreach events like our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Our hope is that each volunteer will gain a deeper understanding of homelessness and ways they can advocate for those we serve in their work, school or faith community.
