Several trainings took place in May 2019 in Greater MN. These included a Skills Based Training in Two Harbors, MN and a presentation to the Arrowhead Area Council on Aging in Duluth. I also had the opportunity to attend two webinars including "Keep 'em Coming Back" by Verified Volunteers and “Business Model Bright Spot: Turning a Core Competence into Reliable Earned Revenue” presented by the Non Profit Quarterly.
I encourage you to
sign up for the
Greater MN Volunteer Impact Leadership Training Series in Two Harbors set for August 22-23, 2019. It is a great training, a wonderful location and a nice way to extend a weekend in northern MN. Special thanks to Community Partners for setting up this training.
You asked for it…We are delivering online training. Check out the MAVA website for an upcoming virtual Service Enterprise training. This cohort will be presented online and you won’t have to leave the office to get this training opportunity. For further information
contact Polly Roach.
A big highlight this month was learning we are receiving a $2,500 grant from Sourcewell in Staples, MN. We will be using the grant to begin the Youth Leadership program in the Region 5 service area. Sourcewell offers regionally focused programs for government and education members who comprise an area known as Region 5. MAVA is a member of Sourcewell.
We are still looking for training opportunities in Greater MN. MAVA can work with you to set up the exact training you need for your organization or network. Let me know if you are interested and we can talk over some training ideas.
