In April I had the opportunity to present and be a part of a Volunteer Trends panel with the Initiative Foundation in Little Falls. It was a chance to talk about MAVA’s Trends in Volunteering Survey and to get additional input for future discussions. It is always nice to sit on panels with good friends - Gina Vetter, Little Falls Chamber and Connie Carmichael, Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area.
MAVA continues to set up trainings around greater MN. Please remember to mark your calendars for a
Volunteer Leadership Impact Training in Two Harbors in August. Also, two Skills Based Trainings set for
May and September in the Two Harbors and Virginia areas. Check the MAVA website for dates, locations and to register. There is no cost to attend the Skills Based Trainings. If you or your organization would like to host a two day or two hour training please let me know. Trainings can be customized for your organization’s volunteer training needs.
District Councils wrapped up their spring meetings and we are looking forward to our All District Council meeting in June at the MAVA-Points of Light Conference in St. Paul. More information to follow in May.
