Service Enterprise Updates

MAVA would like to congratulate Minnesota’s two newest Service Enterprise organizations: Park Nicollet Health Services and the White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf. They join 42 other certified Service Enterprises in taking volunteer engagement to the next level and increasing their impact on the clients, constituents and communities they serve.

The Fall/Winter cohort is now underway in the Twin Cities; Appetite for Change, Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, and the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation are currently assessing their organizations and practices related to volunteer engagement and getting ready for specialized training in February and March.

If you would like to join the growing group of Minnesota’s Service Enterprise organizations, consider enrolling in the Spring/Summer cohort offered by MAVA and HandsOn Twin Cities. Through the Service Enterprise Initiative, you will have access to:
  • A research-based assessment of existing organizational volunteer engagement practices
  • 16 hours of team-based change management training
  • Individualized coaching to address unique organizational opportunities and challenges
  • National certification signifying your organization’s commitment to, and proficiency in, leveraging the time and skills of volunteers to meet your mission
For more information on becoming recognized as a Service Enterprise, visit the Service Enterprise page of the MAVA website. There you can find more information on the initiative, other organizations that have gone through the Service Enterprise process and a link to the Service Enterprise application. Questions? Contact Polly Roach, Volunteer Generation Fund Program Manager at proach@mavanetwork.org. Applications for the next cohort are due in April.
