with Rob Jackson

Rob Jackson is Director of Rob Jackson Consulting Ltd, a consultancy and training company that helps engage and inspire people to bring about change. Rob continues to write extensively for the field. He co-authored the 2012 and 2019 editions of The Complete Volunteer Management Handbook, has his own blog and is Editor-In-Chief of the Engage Journal. In 2015 Rob co-authored “From The Top Down - UK edition” with respected American author and consultant, Susan J Ellis.

Rob will share his thoughts and lead discussions on some topics in volunteerism that we should be considering but no one seems to be talking about. These will include:

  • New horizons: Artificial Intelligence, driverless vehicles and associated tech
  • The future of work and the four-day week: opportunities and challenges
  • Inflationary pressures and cost-of-living implications for nonprofits
  • Physical and mental health implications of the pandemic and beyond
  • Informal volunteering, active citizens and the role of Volunteer Involving Organizations
  • Universal Basic Income - a transformation in volunteering
AGENDA:
8:30 - 9:30    Coffee/Tea and networking
9:30 - 11:30    What we are not talking about - Part I (including a 15-minute break)
11:30 - 1:30     Lunch, awards, annual meeting
1:30 - 3:30     What we are not talking about - Part II (including a 15-minute break)

This event is open to everyone, but advanced registration and payment are required by close of business on Tuesday, October 10. We are not able to accept late and/or walk-in registrations or payments. Please note that payment is due within 30 minutes of registering or your registration will automatically cancel. If your registration is canceled, please register again.
