MAVA Connections: Utilizing Pro-Bono Volunteers

Nonprofits are notorious for having long to-do lists and limited staff capacity to complete them. All too often, the day-to-day operations crowd out projects that would increase our organizational capacity and advance our mission in new and innovative ways. What would it look like to partner with pro bono volunteers on short-term volunteer skilled projects, leveraging their  professional expertise to streamline our processes or to create creative solutions to challenges we’re facing? Whether you’re just starting out with pro bono volunteers or have been using them for years, come chat with other volunteer engagement professionals to trade tips and best practices for scoping, planning, managing, and recruiting for pro bono volunteer projects.

MAVA Connections are informal, but highly interactive events, and will require you to be able to view the PowerPoint slides, use your audio to listen and microphone to speak to others. Please plan to join us from a setting that allows you to engage and participate fully. MAVA Connections are not recorded.

This month’s MAVA Connections is HYBRID - meaning YOU get to choose how to participate. You can join us in person* at Second Harvest Heartland or virtually by Zoom.
To attend in person, please select the "In Person" registration. To attend virtually, please select the "Virtual Only" registration.

*We require in-person participants to be fully vaccinated and masked during the event. Please carefully review MAVA's Health and Safety Requirements prior to registering to attend in person. By registering for this event, you are agreeing to MAVA's health and safety requirements.

You will receive an automated confirmation email with the venue information and/or Zoom link after registering. If you believe you have registered but do not receive an email, please check your spam/junk folder.

Please note that because MAVA Connections is a member benefit, you must log in to your member account to register.
