Do Better Together: Connecting Community Outreach with Volunteer Engagement

MAVA is continuing our "Do Better Together" series in 2020! Join us for the first event in our 3-part series where we will facilitate conversations around important topics on racial equity in volunteerism.

This free event will explore the intersection of community outreach and volunteer engagement. The event will kick off with a short presentation from staff at the Animal Humane Society about their work to integrate volunteer services with their community outreach department and strategies, including success stories and lessons learned. We will then divide into small groups to discuss how volunteerism intersects with community outreach at our own organizations, what this might look like in the future, and the benefits of joining forces to engage community members as volunteers.

The event takes place at Lutheran Social Services of MN at 1605 Eustis Street in St. Paul. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot.

This is a free event. Please RSVP to help us plan the event set-up.
