MAVA is working to pass the Volunteerism Bill, which is designed to bring funds to you and your organization to build and expand effective volunteer engagement. So join us February 18th to learn how advocacy at the State Capitol is essential to your work!

Agenda:

12:30 PM - Registration check-in
1:00 PM-2:00 PM - Advocacy training and practice
2:00 PM-4:00 PM - Meet with lawmakers
4:00 PM - Optional post-meeting group debrief

We'll kick off the day with an update about the Bill and an advocacy training, where we'll have a chance to practice our talking points. Afterwards we'll group up and meet either with our own lawmakers (if you scheduled meetings with them) or with the lawmakers on the House and Senate Jobs Committees. There won't be a group lunch but you are welcome to bring snacks and beverages.

Show your MAVA pride by wearing purple!
