Engaging Volunteers in Leadership Roles

Engaging volunteers in leadership positions is becoming an essential component to any successful volunteer strategy. This training addresses real and perceived barriers to engaging volunteers in leadership positions, and provides a pyramid framework for getting started and increasing volunteer engagement in leadership roles at all levels of your organization. We begin at the entry level to volunteer leadership - the self-directed worker - and move up the pyramid to reach the highest level - the organizational leader. Each level of the pyramid features real-life examples of volunteer leaders and their contributions to an organization.

This will be an interactive training with opportunities to reflect upon your current volunteers, identify how they are already acting as leaders, and create a strategy for moving them up to the next level of leadership.

Snacks and coffee will be provided.
