It’s always exciting to travel, but when you’re on the journey by yourself, it’s essential to bring along necessary items and tools for a smooth ride. Leaders of volunteers who work alone face many obstacles along the way, but there are a wealth of strategies to help you maintain a quality volunteer program.
During this session, you’ll make pit stops to talk with your fellow travelers, sharing the challenges and successes of your own journey. Here are a few of our destinations:
-
The key to GPS (Getting Proper Support) within your organization
-
Road trip tips: protecting your time/maintaining personal and professional boundaries
-
Turn up the radio: communication is key
-
How to handle detours and roadblocks
-
Pausing to refuel: why it’s essential for your well-being
-
Sharing the road: advocating for help when you need it
So grab your map, buckle up, and get ready to share the ride with fellow travellers who share the same challenges. You’ll leave with practical, workable solutions to help make your journey a smooth one. Let’s roll!

Please plan to join us from a setting that allows you to engage and participate fully. MAVA Connections are not recorded.
You will receive an automated confirmation email with the Zoom link after registering. If you believe you have registered but do not receive an email, please check your spam/junk folder.
