I have been involved with the board for many years. The impact for me has been tremendous. I have improved skills in strategic planning, negotiation, leadership and fund development. This is because I have been active on MAVA's board. I have received jobs because of my involvement. - MAVA Board Member
With MAVA’s small staff, Committees are essential to providing the leadership and people-power to accomplish many of MAVA’s initiatives and programs. Committees usually meet every month for about 2 hours. Committee members are also expected to do work outside of meetings. Serving on a Committee is a great way to share your talents or grow new ones.

MAVA can greatly utilize the help of volunteers during our office hours to assist with general office tasks. Assisting MAVA through these roles gives an individual a great sense of the basics required at a non-profit that serves the state of MN as well as playing a critical role in serving MAVA members.
