Research shows that Baby
Boomers are looking at retirement in a whole new way, remaining active and engaged
within their communities. While studies have shown us how this generation wishes
to contribute, there is little information about how volunteer leaders can better
assist these volunteers to pursue their passions by recruiting, retaining and engaging
them in meaningful roles.
Join us for our next workshop "Engaging Baby Boomers and
New Generations of Volunteers" in Rochester, Minneapolis, or Duluth.
This interactive skill building workshop is the product of a full year of work by
a MAVA Task Force, compiling results of recent research and practical tips from Minnesota leaders of volunteers.

It's not business as usual. Leaders of volunteers are facing many new situations, challenges and opportunities with the current changing economic environment. To address these unprecedented times, MAVA has undertaken an
in-depth study of over 250 Minnesota leaders of volunteers to asses changes in volunteer programs and to develop strategies to combat these tough times. Our study reassured us, this is
a time for us to be bold! As
Susan Ellis of Energize, Inc says, "
Hard
facts - no whining - solid ideas." To learn more about our research, click on the link above.
