VEAP SEEKS TO HIRE A BILINGUAL COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER

VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) is a basic needs and social service organization whose programs provide access to healthy foods, social services and transportation for residents of Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and a portion of south Minneapolis. VEAP is a trusted partner, establishing connections and developing confidence for clients facing financial uncertainty. Through the use of 3000 volunteers, VEAP unites neighbors around a common goal of building stronger, more hopeful, communities.

VEAP is seeking an individual for the open Community Health Worker (Bilingual) position with a passion for working for a mission-based organization; able to provide initial intake and eligibility determinations for community members seeking VEAP services; act as a cultural liaison for underrepresented communities; work to provide social services and program support that reflect the mission, values, and the strategic priorities of the organization; collaborate with team members to promote housing stability, by providing access to basic needs and supportive services.
