Inactive Volunteers

My organization is currently looking at how to handle volunteers who have gone “inactive” meaning they have not resigned, quit, or been terminated but have not engaged with us as a volunteer in some time.


Does anyone have a policy in place around inactive volunteers such as when do they stop being inactive and move to a different category? If so, can you share it with me? You can respond here or send me an email at Are there distinctions made between the kind of volunteering activity; for example, someone working with clients vs. someone who does project work?
