MAVA is an organization that is dedicated to improving the profession of volunteer administration for you. With hundreds of members from around the state from all different sectors, what better place to start networking than within your own organization!

• MAVA Geographical Networks -- With 20 around the state, find a geographical network near you to meet with others in your field to make valuable professional connections and discuss a variety of topics monthly.

• MAVA Statewide Networks -- Looking for groups specific to your field? Five sector networks include: Corporate Volunteerism Council, Administrators of Healthcare Volunteers, Directors of Church Volunteer Ministries, Metro Area Volunteers in Schools, and Community Justice Volunteer Program Managers.

Our Shared Resources.org -- Great new website for volunteer administrators! OurSharedResources.org is a free service where volunteer managers can share and access valuable resources in the field, including forms, manuals, position descriptions, templates & tools, tips, ideas, and how-to articles!

MCN Events & Networks -- Full calendar of events hosted by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, including networking luncheons, chapter meetings and nonprofit networks.

Idealist.org -- Join an Idealist group near you. Check out their blog or listen to a podcast.

Energize, Inc.: Collective Wisdom -- Learn what other volunteer administrators are doing. Topics include, reflections, recognition ideas, fostering diversity, teaching about volunteering, recruiting insights and supervision tips. Check out the entire Energize, Inc. website for even more tips.

• Volunteerism Think Tank -- Website that supports a volunteer management resource club that meets to discuss topics related to the field. Get up-to-date information on the group via Twitter, @VolunteerMgmt.

• Twin Cities Young Nonprofit Professionals -- New to the field? Connect with your nonprofit peers. Join in on their networking luncheons and happy hours!
