Impacting The Future: Connect, Strengthen, Inspire…is not only the theme for the conference but also the vision for the profession of volunteer management. Now more than ever, Minnesotans rely on volunteer managers who are prepared, connected, and ready to lead volunteers as they perform their varied services.
 
Conference Highlights
  • Conference will include a number of different focuses to ensure it meets a wide range of needs.  There will be workshops that are directed at various sectors including: Faith-based, Health care, Corporate, Service, Youth
  • Beginner, intermediate, and advanced sessions for volunteer resources managers and directors as well as executives
  • Training for those involved with AmeriCorps, VISTA, Senior Corps and Learn & Serve
  • Earn your Certificate in Volunteer Leadership by completing an 8-topic training series
  • Off-site sessions will be an innovative way for conference attendees to see our community in action and to learn something new in a different setting. 
  • A resource exchange will be open on Wednesday and Thursday featuring exhibitors and vendors.
  • A live and silent auction will surely have some tantalizing items for you that you cannot live without!

Keynotes
 

Susan J. Ellis is President of Energize, Inc.: a training, consulting, and publishing firm that specializes in volunteerism. She founded the Philadelphia-based company in 1977 and since that time has assisted clients throughout North America and 16 other countries. She is also the author of several books and is a well known trainer in the field. 

 

Dr. Kellie A McElhaney is the John C. Whitehead Faculty Fellow of Corporate Responsibility and the Executive Director of the Center for Responsible Business at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. 

 

David McNally has an extensive history of working in international business and has written a number of books as well produced the award winning product, THE POWER OF PURPOSE. His mission is to inspire people to be their best.
