The Minnesota Conference on Volunteer Administration is now in its 5th year.  The focus of the conference is to bring together leaders of volunteers so that they are able to strengthen their skills and community connections in order to better lead volunteers in the important work they do in meeting the missions of the organizations they are working with and improving our communities.   The focus of the conference will be to INSPIRE, STRENGTHEN, and CONNECT volunteers and volunteer leaders to their communities.  Additionally the conference will contain tracks for both the new and experienced leader of volunteers.

Supporting Your Executive to Be a Champion of Volunteer Engagement

Description:
For volunteer engagement to reach its potential impact, there must be significant executive commitment and leadership to involve citizens in partnering with staff to carry out the organization's mission.  This workshop is for Directors of Volunteer Engagement who want to learn to influence and support their executives in carrying out the critical roles needed to be played by them.

In addition to hearing from Betty Stallings, participants will be getting a link to an online version of her new book!

Volunteer Leadership Training Series at the 2011 Conference

The Volunteer Leadership Training Series will be offered at the 2011 Conference on Volunteer Administration.  Participants wishing to attend the training may attend individual modules as they choose, or earn a Certificate in http://thomsonreuters.com/ Leadership by completing all 8 modules.  In order to insure that we have sufficient room for participants, please indicate if you are planning on attending the series at this conference on the registration form.
