Excellence in Volunteer Leadership |
| |
| Carol Thompson, of Edina, received an Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award on December 6, 2007 from MAVA, Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration. Carol ‘s time, energy and leadership has been instrumental in making MAVA what it is today. Her vision for making training available for volunteer administrators was a huge contribution to the success of the Volunteer Resources Leadership (VRL) Learning Series. The VRL training allows volunteer administrators from all over the state to take part in building their leadership, training and management skills. Ms. Thompson worked diligently to get the project started; building it from the initial proposal, seeking funding, and searching for trainers and partners to take the VRL from an idea to an in demand learning series. All of Ms. Thompson’s efforts during her presidency of MAVA in 2005 and beyond have contributed to making MAVA what it is today. Her time, resourcefulness and enthusiasm have allowed MAVA to flourish and have positioned the organization for whatever the future has in store. |
