CORPORATE VOLUNTEERISM COUNCIL OFFERS MANY RESOURCES

Many MAVA member agencies work with workplaces to recruit employees, and in doing so, probably see a range of employee volunteer programs from the informal to the sophisticated. Many of you probably see or hear from these partners that they could use help in putting more structure, efficiency, and ROI to their volunteerism efforts. Please express to your partners there are some wonderful resources out there including the Corporate Volunteerism Council – Twin Cities (CVC) to help them accomplish these goals.

The Corporate Volunteerism Council offers its members a regular schedule of educational events and networking opportunities in order to share information on cutting-edge employee volunteer programs and timely updates on trends and events in the field of corporate volunteerism. For example, the March CVC program brought in a leading expert on the culture of poverty and challenges facing the Phillips neighborhood in south Minneapolis.

CVC is currently recruiting corporate members as well as accepting applications for associate members. Associate membership with CVC is limited to nonprofit organizations that serve as a resource for volunteerism to the corporate members of CVC. Membership at this level is limited to a ratio of one associate member for every four corporate members. For more information about membership, visit www.cvctc.org or call 651- 999-5341.
