Since its inception in March 2002, MAVIS has served the needs of volunteer coordinators in public and private schools in the Twin Cities metro area. Informal bi-monthly meetings provide educational and networking opportunities.
Previous meeting topics have covered volunteer recognition, volunteer/risk management policies, staff training, fundraising in schools, coordination with PTO/As, dealing with diverse volunteers and populations, volunteer recruitment, and parent/volunteer guidelines and boundaries.
