Anoka County Volunteer Alliance

Anoka County Volunteer Alliance (ACVA) is a professional network of individuals who work in volunteer management in and around Anoka County. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for those professionals to meet, share ideas and network. ACVA meets monthly on the third Thursday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Meeting locations rotate every three months.

Format for ACVA meetings is informal. Topics for short discussion are decided at  the beginning of the year. Members of ACVA provide the leadership for the short discussions followed by informal networking. Veteran members may choose to present on a current volunteer management topic while those newer to the field may choose to lead a discussion on a recently published article (e.g., Energize). An assigned facilitator leads the short discussion from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 pm followed by informal networking until 2:00 pm.
